Biography

With roots in Italy and UK, Percy has always drawn inspiration from the natural world. His father is an artist who taught him skills from drawing to photography. Scuba diving trips to the Galapagos islands and treks through the Amazon rainforest had him constantly using a camera or sketchbook.

Percy quickly cemented his passion for jewellery design whilst interning in the workshop of Theo Fennell. He was introduced to professional craftsmanship techniques and was allowed the freedom to design and make his own pieces. From there, he brought it upon himself to practice his jewellery skills while studying an Art Foundation at City & Guilds Arts School, which was where he created his first pieces. Before specialising in jewellery, he endeavoured to broaden his design knowledge by completing a BA in Product & Furniture design at Kingston University, where he discovered his love for creating jewellery inspired by nature.

Outside of his studies, Percy established his own jewellery design business, setting up a bench in his flat and has since designed, and made over 50 pieces. Alongside these, he has also completed multiple bespoke commissions. As a designer, he feels a responsibility to be sustainable, and when designing, he aims to balance aesthetics, ergonomics and story. The intricacy of jewellery design has increased his appreciation for detail which can be perceived within his designs.

Now graduated, Percy continues to explore new skills and perfect new techniques, either at his studio in Paddington, or through courses and internships with other jewellery designers. He has now designed and produced his first collection “Atlantis”, to be released August 31st 2023.
