Starfish & Turtles
My first ever scuba dive, off the coast of Lombok, Indonesia, was a dream come true for me because I truly felt like a fish, and a part of the reef. I had done a lot of snorkelling before but getting down to 10-15 metres under the sea revealed a whole new universe.
I recall discovering the largest red starfish I'd ever seen, in fact there was an abundance of them on the sea floor. It was like gliding through a multi-coloured underwater paradise. I was spoiled by an array of textures, colours, and species. And just when I thought the experience couldn't get any better, I turned my head to see several turtles gliding next to me. Being a part of this magnificent eco-system and wildlife has helped me feel more connected to nature. It is like meeting a new friend; I never want it to stop.
